MOBILE, AL — Mappica, a no-code platform for building interactive charts, maps, and data visualizations, has been selected to participate in the Spring 2025 cohort of gBETA Gulf Coast, a highly competitive seven-week accelerator program run by gener8tor in partnership with Innovation Portal and Innovate Alabama.
Mappica enables consultants, researchers, and communications teams to create rich, interactive data visualizations without writing code. The platform combines advanced design capabilities with drag-and-drop ease, making it faster and more accessible for teams to present data-driven insights online.
Founded by Ross van der Linde, Mappica is one of five startups selected for this spring’s cohort, joining a diverse group of founders from across the Gulf Coast region. Participating companies receive individualized coaching from gener8tor’s nationally ranked accelerator team, weekly mentor sessions, and opportunities to pitch investors and accelerators.
“We’re thrilled to be part of the gBETA Gulf Coast program,” said van der Linde. “Mappica was built to help teams bring data to life—quickly, beautifully, and interactively. The support and mentorship we’ve already received through gBETA is helping us sharpen our strategy and prepare for the next stage of growth.”
The program runs through from April through June and culminates in a showcase where each company will present to a curated group of investors, mentors, and community stakeholders.
